Honourable judges, respected
teachers and all my dear friends. Today I am Soham going to deliver a speech on
‘World Earth. Friends, Today I stand here to share my thoughts on this day. I
hope that you will hear me very carefully and understand me.
Friends, today I stand here to share my
thoughts about Tree Conservation. I hope that you will hear me very carefully
and understand. Friends, every year we celebrate ‘The World Earth Day’ on 22nd
April. We know that Air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution, and
increasing heat of the earth have caused danger to the living things. We can’t
live without trees. We should plant more and more trees and conserve them.
Remember,
No trees, no oxygen, No oxygen, no life.
Friends,
remember trees are our lungs. Trees are our life line. So plant trees, grow
trees, keep them, conserve them, and protect them.
SAVE
TREE – SAVE LIFE
Thanks

Speech on Tree Conservation
Trees are most valuable
and important source of life on the earth. They are very critical to the
healthy and vibrant communities on the earth. They benefit all the living
things on the earth in some direct and indirect ways.
Trees give us life
directly and indirectly as they are source of oxygen production, CO2
consumption and source of rain. They are most precious gift to the humanity on
the earth from nature for which we must be grateful, give honour and preserve
for the mankind wellness.
We should understood
importance of trees in our lives and do our best to save trees in order to save
life, save environment on the earth and make earth a green earth.
Trees are as valuable as gold
that’s why they are called as Green Gold on the earth. They are the real source
of our health as well as wealth because they give us oxygen, cool air, fruits,
spices, vegetables, medicines, water, wood, furniture, shadow, fuel to burn,
houses, fodder to animals and other useful things. They
consume all the CO2, refresh air from toxic gases and prevent us from the air
pollution.
Speech on Save Earth
We live on planet earth. We get everything for our
life from mother earth. We should save our planet earth to
ensure that our future generations get a safe environment.
Saving
Earth Cannot be easily done. In Order to do so, we need to be Sure of all
happening to the nature. We should to do some Measures for
Protecting and saving our own earth as we are living on our Earth. Earth is a
Beautiful Place if we Conserve and protect it by Many Ways. We Should Not Use
Earth in a Way which can Lead towards a Harmful Effect. We should stop
pollution at first.
There are Many Pollution and Destruction Causing Ways. Noise Pollution
Which Is Indeed Caused by High Volume and at The Range over it such as Music
Put on High Volume which is not only Bad for our Earth but in our own Lives
too. We have Land Pollution which is caused by The Cars as well which is
consumed by energy. Water pollution that is keen in being developed by Washing
Animals and Clothes on Water areas such as rivers, ponds, lakes and etc.
We
Need to Save it as it is a symbol of Drinking Water and If we are Washing
clothes and Animals on the Rivers, Then The marine animals will be affected by
that and The will make an end towards death. Throwing of garbage on Rivers and
Seas are also As it is as These get affected to the lakes and rivers and Seas
and The marine animals as well .Global Warming has Probably been beginning on
Antartica and Others which is been Caused by Its climate Change as well .
It is our Duty to as well, contribute some for our Earth. Let us Put and Save our Earth
We can save our planet earth
by saving our trees, natural vegetation, natural resources, water, and
electricity. We can take measures for controlling environmental pollution and
global warming.
Speech on BLOOD
DONATION
As we all know, blood is an important
fluid that flows in our body. It is so important that if we lose excess of it
from our body, we can die. But we are very lucky to have a blood transfusion process
that can help save the lives of the people. The lives can only be saved if we
have enough blood for the transfusion. Hence, blood donation is the only medium
that can help us. People around the world donate blood which helps treat people
with ill- health.
Blood donation is so important that the
world celebrates Blood donor day on 14th June every year. This day is
celebrated to raise awareness about life-saving procedures and to promote blood
donation.
The World Health Organization organizes
the campaign that invites people to donate blood. Not everyone can donate
blood. A person between the age bracket of
17-66 years can donate blood. He/she should weigh more than 50 kgs and
should be healthy. People suffering from diseases like diabetes, hypertension,
etc cannot donate blood. With the said piece of information, I would request
you all to donate blood more often. It can save many lives. Blood donation is
our responsibility towards society.
We have one life. Let us make our one life more
meaningful by donating eyes. Eye donation is the mother of all donations. Eye
donation directly gives vision to another human being. It not only gives vision
to one individual but also to the entire family of that individual. A person
who wishes to donate his eyes after his death has to go to an eye hospital and
need to register his name with the hospital.
The information about the person who agreed to
donate eyes and died is to be given to the respective hospital as early as possible.
So, his eyes can be removed and saved within six hours. We can see the world
even after the death of ourselves by the way of donating eyes.
So, friends let us put our hands
together and make a promise to donate eyes after our death.
Speech on TREE PLANTATION
Friends, we know that trees are
the lungs of the erath I am here to speak on ‘Tree plantation’. You know how
greatly beneficial trees are! They, in fact, sustain our lives. Just imagine, if
they had not provided us with oxygen or with food, fuel, furniture, fruits,
herbs, houses for birds, what kind of life it would have been? Well, there
wouldn’t have been life at all.
Just planting the saplings and
letting nature take care of the rest will not help. It is our duty as good
dedicated citizens to look after these saplings and water them. Besides this,
trees cause rains which are as necessary as air. They give us a beautiful
landscape and help in the ecological balance of nature. You can imagine the
surface of the moon. Our earth would be like that without trees – lifeless,
colourless, and lustreless. We are here because of them. We must therefore
start valuing them. In the past trees were planted by kings and nawabs on
roads, around palaces and in gardens. In the modern times local governments
have been planting them on roads and in parks. In the future people shall plant
them almost everywhere on vacant spaces. Our disregard for trees has borne us
with sour fruits. See the effects of deforestation and increasing urbanization.
Environmental pollution is their result. Global warming, or the greenhouse
effect have caused drought conditions in many parts of the world. Undoubtedly
many states in our country are reeling under scanty rainfall. If we are really
serious about the value of tree plantation due to these reasons, it becomes our
urgent duty to plant more and more trees on every available inch of land. It is
the need of the hour that something should be done to restrain the increasing environmental
degradation by planting more trees and implementing various laws to check tree
felling. If something is not done soon, the damage to our biosphere will be
difficult to repair.
Speech on Teacher’s Day
Friends, we know that teachers are our
guide and motivators. I am very
happy to address you on the occasion of Teachers Day. Today we should remember
our teachers and their hard work which guided us to become knowledgeable
people. Truly they deserve to be acclaimed every single day of our lives for it
is because of them that we are – what we are today.
Teachers are also our parents. They produce
scientists, mathematicians, artists, builders, scholars, lawyers, teachers,
etc. They are always sincere, responsible, committed, and patient. Teaching is
the best profession of all the professions. So dear friends, we should not
forget that we need to appreciate and honour teachers not just today, but all
times and in every possible way.
Thank
you,
Speech on Earth Day
Friends, we know that Earth Day is annually observed on 22nd April
throughout the world to celebrate and honour planet earth, and its natural
environment.
The Earth Day movement is primarily
aimed at protecting and conserving the environment. The celebration of Earth
Day that first begun in 1970 is not held in more than 190 countries. On
this day, people are encouraged to appreciate the natural world and to take
part in environment friendly activities such as planting a tree, or sharing a
car.
Environmental issues have posed serious
threats to the sustainability of natural earth. On the occasion of Earth Day,
the most serious environment related issues such as pollution, global warming,
climate change, acid rain, and ozone layer depletion are discussed.
In
schools and colleges, students and teachers take part in the movement by
participating in environment related educational and awareness campaigns.
Students are asked to make slogans related to the Earth Day. They also sing
environmental songs. The whole aim protecting the natural earth.
We can also take part in the Earth Day
movement by using less electricity, saving tap water, throwing waste items in
the garbage box, not pouring polluting chemicals in the washroom drains,
sharing our vehicles and using electronic vehicles.
The Earth Day celebration can bring a
visible change if we all choose to make actions towards a green world.
Speech on Social Media
Friends, we know that social media
platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Whatsapp are gaining
importance these days as they are connecting people worldwide with just a click
of a button. It is a ‘virtual space,’ people share information, follow their
idols, do business, etc. Now it also became professions of people like You
tubers, Facebook influencers, etc they became social media influence. Here a
new world open to express themself to the world.
If we look at the positive impact of
social media, there are various advantages. One of the major advantages of
social media is that it is full of information and helps in providing
education. For example, children approach social media to get information on
the desired topic.
It is a great device for education. It
has made live education possible. We can attend a lecture happening in some
other part of the world by just sitting in front of a screen in our country.
Isn’t it great?
Social media is also very convenient to
stay updated about what is happening around us. We don’t need to wait for a
newspaper to give us information. There are various news-related applications
that can instantly update us about any serious happening around us.
Social media has also created
opportunities for people such as to show their talent. It is also great for
advertisements. But despite being so many benefits, it has been criticized. It
has disadvantages too.
It is also considered as one of the
harmful elements of society. The oversharing on social media can be dangerous.
It can attack our privacy. Also, overusing leads to spending too much time on
social media which can deviate children from their studies. Sometimes fake news
is also spread with its help disturbing the people.
In
short, social media has its advantages and disadvantages. It is up to us how we
use it. Use it wisely!
Speech on
Cleanliness drive
A small step
from the end of every Indian citizen can be a big step for fulfilling the
purpose of the Narendra Modi’s ‘Clean India’ campaign. We should teach the
purpose and importance of the cleanliness in our daily lives to our kids. Here
we have provided various short and long essay on cleanliness for your school
going kids and children.
Cleanliness
is not a work which we should do forcefully. It is a good habit and healthy way
of our healthy life. All type of cleanliness is very necessary for our good
health whether it is personal cleanliness, surrounding cleanliness, environment
cleanliness, pet animal cleanliness or work place cleanliness (like school,
college, office, etc.). We all should be highly aware about how to maintain
cleanliness in our daily lives.
It is very
simple to include cleanliness in our habit. We should never compromise with
cleanliness, it is as necessary as food and water for us. It should be
practiced from the childhood which can only be initiated by each parent as a
first and foremost responsibility.
Speech on Woman Status in India
Women play
variety of significant roles in our society from their birth till the end of
life. Even after playing her all the roles and all the job timely in efficient
manner in the modern society, she is weak because men are still strongest
gender of the society. Even after lots of awareness programmes, rules and
regulations in the society by the government, her life is more complicated than
a man. She has to take care of herself and family members as daughter,
granddaughter, sister, daughter-in-law, wife, mother, mother-in-law,
grandmother, etc. By following such a big responsibility in the family, they
are fully able to come out and do job for bright future of own, family and
country.
The status of women in
India was very bad and worst in ancient times. The families think that the girl
is a burden for us. They should not the girl to school, not allow to go to
play. They think that girl should do only one work that is household work.
Sometimes they should decide their girl marriage when she would born. And many
things would happen which we cannot count that much torcher would be done on
women.
But now it is not like
that. Our India is developing. There is no discrimination between men and
women. Nowadays, women are pilot, doctors, Engineer, Scientist, Dentist,
Teacher, Astronauts, Social worker, etc. They are going to school and studying.
Child marriage, Sati, Pratha system, Dowry system are banned. Women have been
self- dependent. They can do anything whatever they want. They are taking their
own decisions means nowadays, the status of women is very high.
Speech on Global Warming
Friends, we know that environment should be clean
for survival of living organisms. One of the
biggest problems facing the world today is global warming. Many scientists
believe that our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases is
having a heating effect on the atmosphere, and this could be very dangerous for
human life. This essay will examine the problem of global warming and suggest
some ways of solving the problem. Many problems could result from global
warming.
One of the biggest problems is rising
sea level. This could result in the flooding of low lying coastal areas and
cities, such as Egypt, the Netherlands, and Bangladesh. Some countries might
even disappear completely! Another problem caused by global warming is changes
in weather patterns. Many areas of the world are experiencing increased
hurricanes, floods, and other unusual weather. A third problem associated with
global warming is the effect on animals. Fish populations could be affected,
while some insects which spread disease might become more common.
There are
several things we can do to solve the problem of global warming. One solution
is to stop producing C02. We can do this by switching from oil, coal and gas to
renewable energy. Another solution is to plant more trees. Trees absorb carbon
dioxide and produce oxygen, which is not a greenhouse gas. A third solution is
to use less energy and to recycle more products.
Generating
electricity is one of the main sources of carbon dioxide. If we use less
electricity, we will produce less C02. In conclusion, if we make small changes
now in the way we live, we can avoid huge changes in the future. Scientists,
governments and individuals must work together to overcome this threat.
Speech on Save
Birds
For the past few years the population
of House Sparrows has been declining rapidly. While being able to survive in
wild easily enough, House Sparrows have their life style in accordance with
human towns and cities and lived among us as our friendly next-door neighbours
or forced visitor residents in our own house as far back as we can remember.
Not only is it easier for them to find good food sources around humans but it
is also much secure to build nests away from wild predators in human houses
where humans either do not bother with them or befriend with them. And, yet
even after having sparrows around us they don’t seem to be as happy as they
used be in their halcyon days.
There was a time when watching huge flock
of sparrows performing sky acrobatics in evenings was a favorite pass-time of
folks in villages, towns and cities. But, now all we get to see is a few
sparrows tweeting meekly behind bushes and branches. In fact, it’s not only
House Sparrows that we should be concerned about; our common Indian birds don’t
seem to be as common anymore as they used to be. Why is it so? Their decline
can’t be attributed to a single factor. While, the natural habitats of birds
are destroyed at large scale every year to construct roads, apartments and the
like, it’s also said that the increasing use of mobile networks hugely affect
birds. The excessive use of pesticides in crop fields affects birds too,
because crops act as an important food source to many species. Thus, it’s
important to not only identify the causes that challenge the survival of
different species of birds, but also to come up with solutions that people can
apply at both individual as well community level.
Speech on Save Animals
Animals are an important part of
the food cycle, and humans depend on them for a wide range of requirements. It
is important to save animals from extinction and human predators who like to
hunt them for their personal gains.
Human life has become supreme to all else with no respect left for
nature. To keep the balance of nature in place we have to save animals, hence
the motto. Here are the reasons.
Why you should strive to save animals?
Animals are an integral part of the natural In fact, human beings are
also a form of animals. Yet many animals are in the danger of disappearing from
the earth. Every animal has a place in the ecosystem in the food chain to keep
life in balance. If the balance tilts disasters follow. Animals also have a role
to play in our daily lives. They help in farming, transport or provide us food
like milk, eggs, etc. We must protect them since they are dependent on us
In the past
animals have had a greater role to play than now? Elephants, horses, and
donkeys, etc. were commonly used to transport people or weights. Whether they are useful to humans or not, it
is mandatory to respect that aspect of nature and to protect animals. There are
many species of animals that are suffering from the aggressive actions and encroachments
of human beings into the forests or other natural ecosystems. Poaching in
forests is another offense against wildlife.
How can we Save Animals?
If we want to make
a difference in the world and the lives of animals around the globe, here are
some tips to get a jump-start on saving animals. We pledge not to wear anything
that comes from animals such as leather. Just by this one step alone, we can
save the lives of 100+ animals each year. We can also buy cruelty-free products
such as soaps, lip balms, and shampoos where animals have not been poisoned,
blinded or burned so that we can look more beautiful. We can also help save
animals by not entertaining them in zoos, movies, and circus because in these
places everything is denied to them and they are not in their natural habitat.
After the
discussion, one must agree that ‘Save Animals’ must be a made into an awareness
program for all to understand the value of animal life. Special reserve areas
for protecting the endangered species where the human presence is controlled.
They feel safe in their areas, and that is the only chance for them to breed
and thrive. If we are really passionate about saving animals, we can even
volunteer at the local animal shelter. we can help by walking dogs or cleaning
out water bowls – anything that makes a difference in the lives of homeless
animals.
Speech on Beti
Bachao Beti Padhao
Friends, we
know that family is very important for us .The desire for a male child often
leads people, especially in underdeveloped rural areas, to kill the girl child
at birth. The societal perception that girls are weak and a burden to the
family is the chief cause of this evil.
Girls are capable
of everything, and yet every opportunity is consistently taken away from them
throughout their lives due to prejudices. Educating girls gives them a chance
to make use of all their capabilities and prove themselves equal to men in
every aspect.
No society can
progress without its women progressing, and therefore we must actively strive
to save the girl child and educate her. After all, these little girls will be
the very women who lead us in the future!
To conclude, we
must do our best to stick to the saying “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”! Thank you
for listening to me so attentively.
Speech on Child
labour
Friends, we know that Child labour
is becoming a big social issue in India which should be resolved on a regular
basis. This is not only the responsibility of the government, but it should
also be reconciled by all social organizations, bosses, and guardians. This
issue is for everyone, which should be solved personally, because it can be
with any child of anybody.
Child labour is very common in many
developing countries due to severe poverty and poor schooling. The high rate of
child labour is still more than 50 percent, in which children from 5 to 14
years of age are working in developing countries. The rate of child labour is
highest in the agricultural sector, which is mostly seen in rural and irregular
urban economies, where most of the children have been professionally engaged in
agricultural work by their parents instead of playing with their friends and
sending the school.
The issue of child labour has
become international now, because it has become a major obstacle in the growth
and development of the country. Healthy children have bright future and power
for any country, so child labour is harming, destroying and destroying the
future of the country.

Book Review - "Wings Of Fire”
By Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (1999)
(1) You have recently read a book. Write a 'Review' in about 100/150
words of the book with the help of the following points:
1.
Title/author of the book 2. Subject/Story/Information
3.
Language/Style/Presentation 4. Benefits/Message
1. Title/author of the book
"Wings
Of Fire : An Autobiography of Abdul Kalam” is
written by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Arun Tiwari. This book is an autobiography
of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former president of India. This story sheds light on
the journey of a young boy from Rameswaram to become a renowned scientist. It
reflects how simple living, dedication, strong will and hard work led to
success. It also shows how cultural unity impacts the lives of individuals.
2. Subject/Story/Information
The
story begins with Kalam as a boy in the village of Rameswaram where he lived
with his parents and four brothers and one sister. In this book, the author
tells us how the role of family, relatives, friends, and society contribute to
an individual’s life. Kalam describes his village where everyone lives in
harmony. Religious discrimination was unknown at that time. A passage that
shows the closeness they had: “The priest of Rameswaram temple,
Pakshi Lakshmana Sastry, was a very close friend of my father’s. One of the
most vivid memories of my early childhood is of the two men, each in his
traditional attire, discussing spiritual matters.”
When
he was very young, Kalam wanted to join the Indian Airforce but he was not able
to clear the interview. Far from being demotivated, he focused more on studies,
started his career in Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), and was
involved in the design of a hovercraft. He went to NASA on a training program.
He moved to Indian Space Research and there he met Vikram Sarabhai. He also met
many geniuses who inspired him. The book also describes leadership and
teamwork.
3. Language/Style/Presentation
The
book reveals extensive and detailed project work by Dr. APJ Kalam. Some readers
may find this detailed descriptions boring and unappealing. It highlights the
successful execution of “Agni” and other projects.
The
book narrates India’s technological achievements . It speaks about some
brilliant minds who worked behind Indian space research such as Vikram Sarabhai
and Dr. Brahm Prakash and their contribution towards ISRO.
4. Benefits/Message
As a
reader, this book initially is very interesting particularly the portions from
his younger days to a college student who was encouraged by his family. Later,
the writing becomes a bit monotonous as it gives minute illustrations of the
projects. At the end, he offers advice to the younger generation not to get
demotivated and lead a positive life.
This
book demonstrates how Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s simple living and positive thinking
became an inspiration for the Indian youth.

Q2. Read the extract and complete the activities given below: (HSC SEPT/OCT-2021)
A child spends a major portion of his life in taking formal education. School and related factors (e.g. teachers, peer group, etc.) play a major role in the child's school adjustments. Through his interaction with people in school, he learns how to behave with peers and adults other than family members. He acquires values, goals, aspirations and socially approved ways of behaviour. He gets a good exposure to a new set of adult models. His formal education in school shapes him into a mature, responsible and competent member of society. A child's experiences in school give him lessons in team spirit, cooperation, healthy competition, goal setting and goal attainment. A child's school adjustments depend largely upon teachers' values, principles and attitudes. Family background of peers, their habits also are important. Extra-curricular activities in school, a child's participation in them, the reinforcement and punishment he gets, influence his school adjustments. During early school years, children's adjustment problems are related to being regular and punctual, doing homework and following discipline. Later on, children are concerned about maintaining social relations. During adolescence, the issue is how to develop and maintain social relationship with members. Adolescents are also anxious about obtaining good grades in examinations and choosing an appropriate career. School adjustments have far-reaching effects on children's success in life. Peer groups range from neighbourhood play gangs and informal play groups to organized groups such as study circles. A peer group has its own group structure and expectations from its members. Non-fulfilment of these expectations causes the members to face rejection from the peers. Children are under the influence of peers. A child's attitude, habits and behaviour are largely influenced by his interactions with peers. |
