1. On - वर लगतच, चिकटुन (परंतु सिथर) बाजूला,जवळ,विषयी, साठी,वेळ,काळ,वार, दिनांकापूर्वी,सूरु करणे, च्या वर अवलंबून असणे, पकडणे.

Ex.- i) The book is *on* the table 

       ii) Swapnil sits *on* my right side in the class.

      iii) His house is *on* the river.

      iv) He delivered a lecture *on* Kalidasa.

      v) There are shops *on* both sides of the road.

     vi) You must come *on* Sunday morning.

     vii) My birthday is *on* 15th August.

     ix) The light is *on*.

      x) Put *on*.

      xi) Hold *on*. 

2) above-  वर, वरती, उंचावर, वर असलेल्या वस्तूंचा उल्लेख करताना, वरील प्रमाणे, परंतु अधांतरी, उंच स्थानी

3) Over= वर,संपणे,अमुक वयापेक्षा जास्त सत्ता गाजविणे

Example=1. The bridge is *over* the river.

4)  Up - वरच्या दिशेने जाणे / चढणे , वर असलेली स्थिती स्पष्ट करणे , पुण॔पणे .

iii) We went *up* the hill .

iv) Every thing was burnt *up*.

5) Upon - हालचाल करुण वर येने , एखादी गोष्ट पाहुण.
